@indigo I now have an urge to find ones that come in rolls. The utility (not to say novelty) might outweigh the difference in cost.
Ok, ok, probably not, but I'm looking anyway! :D

@streakmachine Do you have any idea how pleasing it is for me to say I've done that very thing? Pleasing. :) (bows)
@jws Well, I discovered a new use for Pinboard. Let me know if you're not comfortable with it:

@matigo One day, a framed copy of that statement will be worth something. :D
// @jws
@matigo Indeed. I suspect it's more complex than that, and that he thinks ordinary folks wouldn't understand techy reasons for failure. He hosts 25TB of archives for ~25k users, and whilst I reckon his is a bullshit excuse, a table filling up - as with the Instapaper outage recently - seems more likely. I wonder how embarrassing it is to admit screw-ups?
// @JeremyCherfas
@JeremyCherfas Ah, no, I specifically signed up for an Archive Account, it's supposed to provide full-text search for crawled and archived pages. Basic account $11, Archive $25; and though not a massive cost for the advertised functionality it's simply not worked. The fact is I've had 3 weeks with the developer failing to fix it for me and Vanessa, and repeatedly choosing which emailed and tweeted support requests he'd reply to. I've seen tweets stating other users have been waiting since their first contact during November. :/
The first substantial reply ton• me was that the hard drive is full, then the crawler had been set running, then he'd kick it, then he'd try again, then he'd try to fix search.
Oops, that got a bit ranty didn't it! Thanks for reading, Mr Innocent Bystander. ;)
@hazardwarning Thinking now about what you said. I used to use Evernote and then OneNote, and Pocket fails to engage me. Instapaper has folders but not my style. Diigo looks interesting, especially the highlighting component, but I deleted the account after messing about, again it doesn't fit my needs exactly.
@hazardwarning It's the other participants here that are providing potential solutions. I'm just an innocent bystander. :)
